SYMF 2010

Congratulations to partners (and siblings) Robert Gerschultz and  Jaclyn Gerschultz , 1st place Qualified Duet SYMF winners and to Michelle Lu and Irene Lee, 3rd place Qualified Duet SYMF winners!  Their SYMF category took place on Sun. July 25th at Cal. State Univ. Long Beach.  Congratulations to Peter Lu, 1st place Qualified Solo SYMF winner 8/1/10 and Peter Lu, 2nd place Qualified Solo SYMF winner 8/2/10! 

I'm proud of EVERY SYMF participant for working hard, trying their best, and showing such great support and camaraderie for each other and towards the other competitors!

The 46th Annual Southwestern Youth Music Festival will be held on July 26, 27 and August 2, 3, 4 2008 on the campus of:
California State University at

Applications must be received by:  June 1st.  Copy of birth certificate is required. Give copy to Ms. Noreen by May 28th.

Students are catagorized by age and length of study.  The exact date and time of each student's competition time is not selected until all of the applications are received by SYMF.  A student's performance date could be any one of the dates listed above.

I will need a copy of student's birth certificates for anyone who is entering the competition for the first time.

Paid SYMF Room Captain jobs are available for high school students. Application deadline is June 1st.
